All the DVIRs should be filled out with the relevant data, including the date and vehicle identification number. A Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) is mandatory for every driver in the USA. They are required by Federal regulations - such as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) - to safeguard and secure commercial vehicles on the roads. For operators of commercial motor vehicles, such as trucks and buses, this paper will explain the daily vehicle inspection report (DVIR) before leaving and at the end of each trip.
